Sew your circuits!

Massage Eye Patch

This week we continue to explore circuits and make our own experiments and designs. The materials we used for this week's projects are conductive thread, clothes and vibrating pieces or LEDs. Thus in sewing two vibrating pieces parallel connecting to the battery, I made a massage eye patch that indeed works! Wear it on your eyelids. It vibrates well to sooth your eyes.

Other ideas could be to sew some patterns and connect LEDs to certain parts to add fun to the cloth.

Conductive thread offers a fresh opportunity for students to learn about electricity. Especially for those who are interested in needlework while not so concerned about science, this educational tool might evoke their motivation to learn more.
